ABOUT US
Sunmaster Mauritius — Solar EPC & Agri-Photovoltaics Specialists
Powering Mauritius with Solar Energy
Sunmaster Mauritius is the Mauritian arm of Sunmaster — a leading Solar EPC and Agri-Photovoltaics company operating under Saev P Ltd, with established operations across India and Mauritius. We design, engineer, finance, install and maintain solar power plants for homes, farms, businesses and industries across the Republic of Mauritius.
Our purpose is simple: to help every Mauritian household, farmer and enterprise unlock the full economic and environmental value of the sun.
Who We Are
Sunmaster has grown from a specialist solar engineering firm in India into a cross-border clean-energy group with a portfolio of over 40 MW of installed solar capacity, a flagship Agri-PV demonstration farm at Issapur (New Delhi), and active utility-scale projects in Mauritius under the CEB Agrivoltaic Scheme.
Sunmaster Mauritius brings this two-decade engineering pedigree directly to the island — combining international project delivery standards with local presence, local compliance, and a deep commitment to Mauritius's energy transition goals.
We are a MARENA-registered installer, fully compliant with the CEB SSDG Grid Code, and we work exclusively with NQF Level 4 certified electrical professionals.
What We Do
Sunmaster Mauritius offers complete, end-to-end solar solutions — from feasibility study to lifetime O&M:
Residential Solar (Households)
Rooftop solar systems up to 10 kW under the CEB Solar Photovoltaic Scheme for Households, with both net-metering and gross-metering options. Optional hybrid PV + Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for energy independence.
Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar
Custom-designed rooftop and ground-mount solar power plants for hotels, factories, offices, retail chains and warehouses — engineered for maximum self-consumption and shortest payback.
Agri-Photovoltaics (Agri-PV)
The dual use of land for solar power generation and agriculture — protecting crops, conserving water, and creating a second income stream for farmers. Sunmaster is one of the few EPC companies in the region with a working Agri-PV demonstration farm and active utility-scale Agri-PV projects under the CEB CAV Scheme.
Utility-Scale Solar & BESS
Grid-connected solar plants and battery storage solutions for IPP, captive and PPA models — including hybrid PV + BESS configurations for grid services and round-the-clock power.
O&M and Plant Performance Management
Long-term operations, monitoring, predictive maintenance, panel cleaning, and performance reporting to ensure every plant we build delivers what it was designed to.
Our Roots — Sunmaster India
Sunmaster Mauritius is backed by the full engineering, procurement and project management strength of our group headquarters at Bhikaji Cama Bhawan, New Delhi, India.
In India, Sunmaster has delivered:
• Over 40 MW of solar EPC projects across rooftop, C&I, ground-mount and Virtual Net Metering (VNM) installations
• Projects under multiple Indian DISCOMs including BSES Rajdhani (BRPL), Tata Power Delhi (TPDDL), UHBVN and DHBVN
• A dedicated Agri-PV demonstration and research farm at Issapur, New Delhi — a working showcase of how solar and agriculture can coexist profitably
• Utility-scale solar pilot projects, including a 1.1 MW grid-tied substation-level pilot for BRPL
This deep, hands-on Indian operating experience — across regulation, design, installation and long-term performance — is what we bring to every Mauritian project.
Why Mauritius — Our Commitment
Mauritius has set ambitious targets for renewable energy generation and is steadily reshaping its grid towards a cleaner, more resilient future. The CEB's Solar Photovoltaic Scheme for Households, the CEB Agrivoltaic (CAV) Scheme, and the increasing space for distributed solar generation all signal a national shift that Sunmaster is privileged to be part of.
We are committed to:
• Building bankable, code-compliant, long-life solar assets in Mauritius
• Training and employing local Mauritian electrical professionals
• Strengthening the Agri-PV ecosystem for Mauritian farmers and planters
• Supporting the CEB and MARENA in their grid-modernisation and clean-energy mandates
• Delivering projects that meet international quality and safety standards
Our Approach
Every Sunmaster project — whether a 5 kW home rooftop or a 4 MW Agri-PV plant — is built on the same four-stage discipline:
1. Engineer First
Every plant begins with a detailed site survey, shadow analysis, structural and electrical design, and a transparent technical proposal.
2. Procure Right
We use only Tier-1 modules, internationally certified inverters, and grid-code compliant balance-of-system components — no shortcuts on quality or safety.
3. Install Properly
Our installations follow CEB SSDG Grid Code, IEC standards, and Sunmaster's own internal QA/QC protocols. NQF Level 4 certified electricians sign off every connection.
4. Operate for the Long Term
We don't disappear after commissioning. Performance monitoring, scheduled cleaning, preventive maintenance and annual performance reports keep your plant earning for 25+ years.
Our Promise
When you choose Sunmaster Mauritius, you are choosing:
• A team with a two-decade Indian engineering track record and a dedicated Mauritian operation
• Full regulatory compliance — MARENA, CEB SSDG, NQF Level 4
• Honest financial modelling — real payback, real IRR, real generation
• Transparent project delivery — clear timelines, clear documentation, clear handover
• Long-term partnership — because a solar plant is a 25-year relationship, not a one-time sale
Engineering Mauritius's solar future — one rooftop, one farm, one factory at a time.
